While the high school football season has wrapped up, the recruiting journey is still going strong for several local student-athletes. Four area football players have officially committed to continue their careers at Lindsey Wilson University, taking the next step both athletically and academically.
The players committing to the Blue Raiders are Aden Bolden of McLean County, Jalen Carr of Owensboro, Tristian French of Owensboro Catholic, and Trevan Coiles of Hancock County. Each was a key contributor for their respective programs and earned the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level.
Lindsey Wilson University is a four-year liberal arts institution located in Columbia, Kentucky, and competes in the NAIA Mid-South Conference, one of the most competitive leagues in small-college football. The Blue Raiders have established themselves as a national powerhouse, highlighted by their 2020 NAIA National Championship.
That success has continued in recent seasons. Lindsey Wilson finished the most recent campaign with a 10–2 overall record, advancing to the second round of the NAIA playoffs before being eliminated by perennial power Grand View University. The program is known for its strong defensive play, physical style of football, and consistent presence in the national rankings.
For the four local athletes, the opportunity represents more than just football. Lindsey Wilson emphasizes academic achievement, leadership development, and community involvement; offering student-athletes a well-rounded collegiate experience.
Each player brings a unique skill set and high school pedigree to the Blue Raiders roster, and all four will look to compete for playing time as they transition to the college game. Their commitments also reflect the continued strength of football programs across the region, producing athletes capable of competing on a national stage.
As they prepare to report to campus, Bolden, Carr, French, and Coiles will carry their hometown pride with them, joining a program with championship expectations and a winning tradition.
